Baby vs. Tapeworm

Last night, my husband and I ran into some outrageous pro-choicers on an abortion poll. The main argument that the dimwits had was that we, pro-lifers, are willing to kill an unwanted tapeworm inside of our bodies, but we're not willing to get rid of an unwanted "fetus" (BABY) inside of our body!
Now explain something to me PLEASE, how are a parasite, something that is nothing remotely close to a human life the same comparison to that of a LIVING, GROWING, DEVELOPING being?!?!?!?
The ignorance of people makes me feel as though I will burst into flames! After everything was said and done my husband and I talked about the argument...

At the end of the day, when everything has been said from both sides, and everyone has made their points. If the pro-choice person hasn't changed their view, they're more than likely not going to! Why? Because it's all a matter of perspective. Somewhere along the way, we as humans have come to believe that we are sooo deserving of exercising control over what we've come to "think" is our body! Anyone that has the correct biblical view will not argue with the fact that we do NOT belong to ourselves! We are simply loaning out these bodies. They are not ours to do as we wish!
The biggest argument that I've encountered when debating pro-choicers is that, a pro-lifer is wrong to say that a woman should give birth to a rape baby. This is simply not the case! Whatever the circumstance may be that caused the pregnancy does not negate the fact that this IS a human life, from beginning to end. There's no period where the baby is a nothing. If that were the case, and the "fetus" in the beginning was not a human life, why would the woman's body immediately begin to react to the addition in her? As soon as a baby is conceived, she no longer menstruates. She becomes extremely fatigued. Most even become physically ill. The woman's body from the beginning begins to adjust to what will physically be required of it for the next 9 months. Now, this is when the fact of perspective comes into play. Humanistically speaking, one could say it would be "wrong" for someone to say you need to carry to term and birth this rape baby. But, here' s the thing. We're not to think in those terms. A life is a life, whether it was created due to an unfortunate circumstance, like rape. Or whether it was created between a husband and a wife. That baby does not know it was a result of rape, so when are we then given the right to terminate that life? NEVER!

Once again, I will incorporate the fact that it always comes back to a matter of perspective. If you have the right outlook and perspective, you realize the gift this new life is. This baby is so much a part of you, that, to terminate it would be like terminating a part of yourself. And at the end of the day, I cannot make you believe anything I say. I can't make you understand it. I can't make you change your mind. I will say this though, I've been fortunate enough to have three successful pregnancies and have been enjoying the results for the past 2 years now. I can't imagine my life without them. I remember the first movements I felt with my oldest . It was the strangest feeling, but at the same time the most extraordinary feeling. I was feeling movement in just my first trimester, which most say you don't really feel anything until half way through the second. To say that a baby in the womb is not a human life until a certain point, 20+ wks., that statement affects me deeper. Because I HAVE carried all the way to term. And I have layed awake at night just watching my tummy move about as the baby twisted and turned and did what felt like somersaults!
You will NEVER convince me that abortion is not murder. You will never convince me that the baby is not a life from beginning to end. And finally, you'll never convince me to stop saying something to the idiots that make the pro-choice claims. It is my job, duty and God-given responsibility to stand up and say something to the wrongs of this world. How are you being an example of Christ when you stay idle, sit back and choose to keep your mouth shut? Had Jesus done that, the lunatics of His day would have walked all over Him. Just like they do today to most so-called "Christians". How many more things have to happen before you finally say, "Enough is enough!"......

  1. Because a tapeworm is a living, growing, developing thing. So how do you distinguish the difference? Are you saying humans are not parasites? Because they very much are to the Planet Earth.
